It now occurs to me that any 'curse effects' I might experience from the supposedly 'haunted' book might not be immediately apparent as part of the 'curse.' In horror movies, when a family moves into a new house and a bunch of crows fly into the windows and die, we as the audience know that's because something spooky is going on, but to the family, that's surely nothing more than an unusual but unalarming occurrence. So, assuming I'm the family in this scenario, I think it would be wise for me to document every notable thing that happens during the day even if they might seem completely trivial, just in case some of them do turn out to be foreshadowing. Not much going on today. It's only the start of university, so I don't really have a regular schedule yet, and I had kind of a busy weekend going to the cinema and doing some shopping, so I figured I would just spend my day off chilling in my room and being lazy.  Watched Ingmar Bergman's ...
Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog. I'll be using my online handle 'Frogge' for the purposes of this blog, so feel free to refer to me as such. A little information about me: I am a student currently starting a pHD in film studies in England. I have a big (secular) interest in the haunted and esoteric - I love horror films and how they make our world appear more magical than it really is. I want to write and direct my own horror films, but not much really scares me nowadays, at least not in the same way they did when I believed in ghosts and demons as a child. That, in turn, has put me in a bit of a creative block recently - how can I write something scary if I don't find anything scary enough to write about? That's why I've been on the prowl for a genuine haunting.
